PROGRAMS

Several SLLA programs are organized and executed in collaboration with local colleges and universities.
The following programs are representative.

UCLA FOWLER CONCERTS
SLLA holds seasonal concerts in collaboration with UCLA’s Fowler Museum. Musical performances in the outdoor amphitheater have at times integrated themes from museum exhibitions.

SMC MARIACHI PROGRAM
SLLA’s SMC Mariachi Program is an intergenerational ensemble organized in collaboration with SMC and held on the SMC campus. It is SMC’s first mariachi class.

MSMU ‘WOMEN IN JAZZ’
SLLA collaborates with Mount Saint Mary’s University (MSMU) on multiple projects. The 2024 MSMU ‘Women in Jazz’ concert featured jazz vocalist and MSMU alumna Amber Weekes.
