The SMC Mariachi Ensemble offers mariachi classes twice a week at Santa Monica College. Classes are open to students as young as 8th grade.

The Mark Twain Middle School mariachi ensemble launched its pilot program in Fall 2025. It is open to all students, regardless of musical experience.
